Having problems using our site? Need some help?
Our website has been developed from the ground-up using modern, compliant technologies.
We hope you will find that it is accessible in almost every environment, however we have covered some of the more common queries here should you need a hand.
Javascript
Our website makes use of the popular jQuery Javascript framework. This means that you will have a richer and feature packed browsing experience. In rare circumstances, you may find that Javascript is disabled in your browser and you may find you will miss out on some elements of our website. If this is the case, you will receive a friendly warning message on our home page.
In order to get the best experience while using our site, we highly recommend that you enable Javascript/scripting support in your browser’s option screen.
How do I enable Javascript in my browser?
Please see this very useful article which gives you very easy to follow, step-by-step guides with pictures on how to enable javascript in your browser. It covers Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Opera. If you have another browser, you will be able to find plenty of resources on Google.
Internet Explorer 6
Once upon a time, Internet Explorer was the dominant internet browser on the market. Would you believe that it once had the best support of modern browser technologies? But this was almost nine years ago! Conversely, among today’s ever changing internet climate, it is severely lagging. It struggles to render modern websites correctly, it is dangerously insecure and it lacks in usability features that other free alternatives can provide.
For this reason, Speed will not be supporting Internet Explorer 6. If you are using Internet Explorer, you may find that the website appears disjointed, or the some content is missing. You should also see a friendly reminder at the top of your page reminding you to upgrade. Many other companies have already dropped Internet Explorer 6 support. You can read Google’s official statement on the browser here.
We highly recommend using a free browser alternative such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. However, if you would like to stick with Internet Explorer, Internet Explorer 8 is available to download free of charge.
