Phil Edwards
Managing Director
Phil joined Speed originally in 2007 as Business Development Manager. Prior to this, he accumulated 30 years of experience in the overnight express freight business. In the three years Phil has been at Speed, he is well on the way to fulfilling a vision of success for Speed. That vision is to be the undisputed, unparalleled, complete carrier of freight in Mid-Wales. Phil has helped forge new relationships with several large corporate clients in his time here and one day hopes that Speed will be viewed as the parcel, pallet, hazchem and irregular freight hub of Mid-Wales.
Mark Jones
Operations Manager
Mark joined Speed as a HGV driver in 2008, but by 2009 he rose to the rank of Operations Manager. He has over 25 years hands-on experience in the freight industry, where he spent a lot of time as a continental HGV driver. Mark is an extremely dedicated member of our team. He has a natural organisational talent and is well respected among his drivers and customers alike. On a day-to-day basis he oversees the overall daily operation.
Sharon Williams
Financial Controller
Sharon joined Speed in 2007 and is an accountant with over 17 years experience in accounting and finance. She has worked in both chartered and management accounting backgrounds and is fully responsible for all of Speed’s accounts. Since joining the company, Sharon has completely transformed our accounts and put in place new procedures and facilities to ensure the smooth running of the important financial aspect of the business.
Lucy Strong
Transport Office Manager
Lucy initially joined Speed part-time in 2007 as a data inputter and office assistant whilst still at college. Shortly after she took on a full time role at Speed and has risen through the ranks. Recently due to her excellent enthusiasm and professionalism, she was promoted to Transport Office Manager. Now while still at the tender age of 20, she oversees the smooth running of the Transport Office which includes co-ordinating office staff, managing drivers and liaising with our customers.

Michelle Colley
Data Inputter
As Speed grew busier and attained higher volumes of freight handled, Michelle joined the company in April 2010 to handle the inputting of data into our bespoke computer systems.
Lee Griffiths
Warehouse & Yard Supervisor
Since leaving school Lee has worked in warehousing and stores so he has a wealth of experience in this field. Lee joined us in 2009 and oversees the loading/un-loading of vehicles, sorting of freight and handles our pick and pack service.
